We conducted a survey of 2500+ newly registered OnlyFans users who joined the platform in 2023, aiming to assess the influence of the ongoing economic downfall on their decisions to become members, both in the present and in retrospect.

The survey uncovered some interesting results, including a staggering 98% awareness of OnlyFans before the recession hit, with 68% considering joining during the economic downturn. Surprisingly, 56% had already initiated their OnlyFans journey. Motivations, such as financial strain (45%) and income supplementation (32%), shed light on the diverse reasons for venturing into this space. Notably, 89% believe OnlyFans could alleviate recession-induced financial challenges. However, respondents expressed concerns, with privacy (37%) and social stigma (48%) being notable barriers. With 72% seeking OnlyFans as supplemental income, this survey provides a succinct yet revealing snapshot of unconventional financial choices in challenging times.
