Who Is Tyga and How Did He Get Famous?

Michael Ray Stevenson, more professionally known as Tyga, was born on November 19, 1989 in Compton California. His father is Jamaican while his mother is Vietnamese. He derived his stage name from the phrase Thank You God Always.

In his early years, his musical inspirations were Fabolous, Lil Wayne, Cam’ron, Eminem, and many more. His professional music career kicked off around 2007 when he was continually releasing demo tapes and mix tapes. His mix tape Young on Probation caught the attention of Travis McCoy who later offered him a record deal with the independent label DCD2 Records.

G.E.D. Inc

It was around this time that Tyga also decided to create his own record label called G.E.D. Inc., which stood for Grinding Every Day, Getting Every Dollar, or Getting Educated Daily. In honour of this endeavour, Tyga has a G.E.D. Inc tattoo above is the right eyebrow.

The following year, Tyga released his debut independent album entitled No Introduction under DCD2 Records. It was very well received that one of the tracks, Diamond Life, was used for Need For Speed: Undercover and Madden NFL 2009 video games, as well as the movie Fighting.

Young Money Entertainment

In a matter of months, Tyga signed a new record deal with Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment, after the two met at the 2008 VMA’s. He went on to release another mix tape featuring big names such as Bow Wow, Chris Brown, and of course Lil Wayne himself. One of the tracks entitled Deuces made it to No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Billboard Hot R&B / Hip-Hop songs in August 2010. The very same track was later nominated for Best Rap / Sung Collaboration at the 53rd Grammy Awards.

As the years went by, Tyga continued to release more albums with multiple tracks hitting the Billboard Hot 100. He continued to collaborate with multiple artists throughout the years including Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa, Future, Kanye West, 50 Cent, Justin Bieber, and a lot more.

Downfall

Tyga, however, had a 5-year streak of poor sales and negative reviews. His sixth studio album entitled Kyoto was received so badly that it became his first ever album that failed to chart just about anywhere.

He came back strong in the summer of 2018 with the release of the single Taste, which peaked at No. 8 on the US Billboard hot 100, and is certified 4x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Tyga and His Stint Within Other Industries

In 2012, Tyga also ventured out into producing and co-directing a multi AVN Award-nominated adult film entitled Rack City: The XXX Movie, which starred some well-known names in the industry such as Skin Diamond, Jada Fire, Ice La Fox, Sophie Dee, Lexington Steele, Kristina Rose, London Keyes and Daisy Marie. He also appeared in the film but in a non-sex role.

Fast forward to July 2020, he partnered with respected businessman Robert Earl in launching a virtual kitchen brand called Tyga Bites. The concept was to use existing restaurant kitchens and create branded menu items such as boneless chicken wings, and have customers order them through an exclusive delivery service.

The following year, Tyga competed in The Masked Singer as “Dalmatian”. He was the first of his group to be eliminated.

Tyga and His OnlyFans

In 2020, Tyga started going viral on Twitter for a leaked nude he had sent to an ex-girlfriend. Because of how well received the photo was online, Tyga decided to start an OnlyFans account “as an experiment”. With the photo circulating on Twitter, he racked up a lot enough subscribers on his OnlyFans profile. Reportedly earn him a whopping $7.9 million on the website. In fact, he was one of the top 4 celebrity earners.

OnlyFans announced that they would be banning sexually explicit content on the website. Tyga wasted no time in deleting his account. This happened within the first 24 hours. He saw this move as a business opportunity and launched his own platform. It would serve as a direct competitor to OnlyFans except he would still allow sexually explicit content. He called it Myystar!

Three months after creating an OnlyFans account, Tyga launched an OnlyFans talent management company called TooRaww.

We have yet to see how Myystar fares against OnlyFans as the latter decided to retract their ban on sexually explicit content and is still currently garnering more subscribers each day.

XFans Hub

The number of people logging into OnlyFans has drastically risen in the past few years. Despite its popularity, it still has its shortcomings. One of the biggest flaws the website has yet to settle is the lack o a proper Onlyfans search function. This limitation makes it all the more difficult and takes twice as long to find models on OnlyFans. This is where XFans Hub comes into play.

Here at XFans Hub, we have collected a total of twenty-four (24) different filters, made for both free and paid OnlyFans accounts. Creators can promote their Onlyfans page with our monthly membership package.
